If you’ve spent ten years or more diagnosing and fixing European cars and you’re tired of chasing flat-rate hours, this job is for you. Pruven Performance pays hourly, adds a production bonus on top, and pays overtime. The work is never boring: one day it’s a customer’s daily-driver BMW, the next a Porsche, a modified Audi or a race car going on the dyno.

About Pruven Performance

Pruven Performance has been repairing and tuning cars in Milford since 1998. We work on Japanese, European and US makes, everyday cars and exotics, and we’re known for performance work: custom tuning, engine builds, turbo and supercharger systems, and a four-wheel Dynojet dyno. Pruven-built cars have won at the DSM/EVO Shootout, the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge and many events at Lime Rock, Lebanon Valley Dragway and more. Work alongside our in-house tuner and designer directly on builds. We’re a straightforward, honest shop: we explain the problem and the options to the customer before any work starts.

About the Job

You’ll be one of the shop’s lead repair technicians, with European vehicles as your core work: Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, VW and Volvo cars. You’ll have the opportunity to excel and earn production bonuses utilizing the vast amount of knowledge and special tools we have for working on these vehicles.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair European vehicles (engine, drivability, electrical, brakes, suspension, steering and A/C) along with Japanese and US makes.
• Track down the hard problems: intermittent faults, electrical and CAN network issues, and cars other shops couldn’t fix.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs to factory procedures, on schedule.
• Explain clearly and document in our invoice system what you found, so the customer can be given the problem and the options to make a proper decision on solutions.
• Work alongside the tuning side of the shop on modified cars, engine work and dyno sessions.
• Keep accurate repair notes and keep your bay and the shop equipment in good order.

What We’re Looking For

A plus (not required):

• ASE or manufacturer certifications.
• Show us your project vehicle or anything you’ve built in the past. We are looking for a passionate individual.
• Dyno experience.
• Racing team or track support experience.
• EV / hybrid experience.
• Towing experience (towing is not part of this job).

Pay and Benefits

• Pay: $25.00 to $42.00 per hour, hourly, not flat rate. Where you start in the range depends on your experience and skills.
